Born and raised in St. Catharines and is now living in the village of Chippawa with his wife, son, and daughter.

Began woodcarving in 1986 and competing at local shows in 1989. Went on to win several Best of Show awards at both the Niagara Show and the Erie County Fair.

Since then, has won Best of Show awards at the Canadian Carving Championships and has won two Best of Show awards (amateur) and a second Best of Show award (at the open level) at the World Carving Championships.

Wilfowl Carvings range from full size birds of prey down to miniatures, which include hawks, falcons, songbirds, waterfowl, and shorebirds.
